Decorative Balls – girl style
Okay before I show you my next little project I want you to know that right now I am really into the fun little decorative balls. Not sure why maybe because they are easy to make and add so much color! PINK — yes every ball I have made lately is PINK. Why? Because I have been making them for my daughter Maeli’s bedroom. 3 daughters = alot of PINK. First Ball – I found this entire canister of little foam beads at Tai Pan trading for $2.00 I made 2 balls and it didn’t even dent the canister. SO I decided I could always make more of these balls…

Easter blocks
I needed a quick gift for a friend and came up with this in an hour. It is nice what a couple of pieces of wood, some paint, a blow dryer and a cricut can create! This was before I added some embellishments. I added a white button and some cute ribbon around the blocks.

Simple to make colorful Easter Egg Hanger
Easter Egg for my pine bead board hanger. So, do you remember my valentines hanger and St. Patricks day one too? Well it is a new month and new holiday time to switch it up! For those of you who have been asking about this darling little this is what I have done to create this. I took a piece of 1/2′” plywood and cut it into a 12″ x 12″ size then I took an 1/8″ piece of bead board and cut it into a 10″ x 10″ board. I painted the bottom one black and the bead board an off white. Once dried I sanded the edges of…

Felt Rosette Balls
The craft blogging world is endless. I find myself jumping from one blog to the next and with each blog I find inspiration and talent. I find myself making a HUGE list of ideas. Saving many blogs as “favorites” and doing what it takes to create each idea that I get into a craft! I also like to try to save money in the process and reused items from my home or at least pick it up somewhere on sale! I can’t wait until it is garage sale time because there are a lot of people out there getting rid of all sorts of craft supplies! My next inspiration came…

Spring wreath
I discovered a mesh type ribbon when my mom brought me a roll at Christmas time to add to my Christmas tree. It was lime green and I was in love with the stuff! I added it to my Christmas tree and it POPPED! When I saw this wreath at Kristen’s Creations I got immediately excited! I knew right away I had to make one! So I took this old wreath: (which needed a makeover anyways as it was 7 years old) and created this wreath: I took old bunnys I had from about 5 years ago & a sign I bought last year on after Easter clearance for $3.50…

Making a Pomander Ball
I have learned crafting is fairly easy just having the patience to see it come together and having the resources/supplies to create something. I found these Pomander Balls online at PizzazzerieI love tutorials but I find myself always doing them just a bit different than the person who’s tutorial I am following. In Courtney’s tutorial she used her paper punch and I thought that would be exhausting cutting out each individual flower so instead I used a piece of card stock and my cricut. Maeli is the only child that I can keep her attention in the crafting department and really has a desire to learn about the things I…

Record Bracelets to accessorize!
Craft night at Krystal’s. I am super excited because there are all sorts of new people building houses around us and new people moving in. That means meeting new people!! Krystal her husband and two kids moved in to the cul-de-sac just west of our Cul-de-sac. I was excited to meet Krystal and realized she too loves to craft. She hosted a craft night at her home on Friday night March 5th. I was excited to go to her house and learn something new. We made these bracelets out of old records! She took old records and melted them down in the oven not fully but just enough to be…

T-Shirt Pom Pom’s
So I found a cute idea here and found it quite fun to try it! Let me tell you though some of these professional crafters make it look super easy and after cutting through my fingernail, cussing and wailing in pain I found out they are pretty darn cute!! With some time and some old tee-shirts I was excited to make these. I followed her tutorial pretty closely and I know my mother would be proud to know that I used the Christmas gift she gave me to cut out the strips of fabric.. Look mom!! Now just to work on getting my lines a little more straight. If you…

Scrabble Jewelry / Magnets
I am always looking for something that my girls can create or make and either give away as gifts or wear/use. We took some old scrbble pieces and made these cute charms that you can wear on a chain or put a magnet on the back of and stick on the refridgerator. I let them pick some stickers and whatever scrapbook paper that they wanted to use. I thought that they did pretty good for a couple little girls. They were pretty simple & the girls have had fun wearing them!
