Wicked Chicken Spring D’ecor Sign
Wicked Chicken Spring Décor Sign I was browsing around on Etsy on found this darling sign here. I loved the saying on it! However, it didn’t really match any of my home décor but I knew that I wanted something similar to it. I kept thinking the saying is really a perfect saying for Spring and Easter. I decided to make my own and freshen up the colors for spring. First I grabbed a medium size board from my scrap wood pile. My board is about 12″ by 24″. I painted my board a teal blue color then cut 2 cardstock templates using the silhouette machine. I cut the chicken first…

I Don’t Need Luck St. Patrick’s Day Board
I Don’t Need Luck St. Patrick’s Day Board I found this idea for this St Patrick’s Day Board here. I basically followed her same idea. It was really simple to re-create. First I measured some scrap boards I had. Then created the wording on my silhouette to match the size of my board. I cut the wording in white vinyl. Next, I painted my board a lime green, because that is what I had on hand. I bought a gallon of lime green paint about 2 years ago in the mis-tints section for $5 and it’s only about half gone. I usually try and make do with supplies I already…

Luck Burlap Board
Luck Burlap board I also found this cute idea on burton avenue blog. Once again her free cut file has expired but maybe because I am only 2 years late finding this cute idea. Really, this is quite a simple project to accomplish. I typed the word LUCK into my silhouette program and used my own fonts to create a template. I cut my template onto freezer paper and made a stencil. Then I painted a board I cut to the same size as my template. I grabbed this fun lime green paint and painted my board. I cut a square of burlap to match the size of the board…

Lucky Like a Four leaf Clover
Lucky like a Four Leaf Clover I have always loved the saying Lucky like a four leaf clover. I just haven’t found any printables or ideas with this saying that I loved or really cared for. This year for some reason, I am really amping up my St Patrick’s décor’. I accepted my own challenge to create something with this saying to display in my home. Last year over at Burton Avenue blog she offered this free cut file of these darling shamrocks with in a shamrock. Unfortunately, now it is no longer a freebie (dang if you missed out!). But you can purchase other items in her etsy shop.…

Rustic Lucky Friend Board
Rustic Lucky Friend Board I saw a picture of this Four leaf clover and I tried doing some searches, but in the end all I found was this picture and one someone had taken it with their phone. I knew I wanted to recreate this some how. I loved how the words were inside the shamrock and how it was kind of rustic looking. I used my Silhouette machine ( It never gets turned off, poor machine). The silhouette machine has a really awesome trace feature that you can watch here silhouette. I knew this project was a possiblity with just using the picture. I really do try to…

Irish Blessing Wood Home Decor’
Irish Blessing Decor’ I love these Irish blessings or proverbs. There are some that are very complimentary and nice but I do love a good laugh. That is why I choose this one funny little saying to spruce up my home! Using some wood scraps or any wood you have kicking around paint them black. The background is a great geometric pattern. You can cut a template using contact paper on your personal cutting machine. Next placing the pattern over the painted board. You’ll want to use a gold permanent marker to color in the design. Next cut the Irish saying in green vinyl. The original plan was to place…

St. Patrick’s no sew burlap banner
St. Patrick’s no sew burlap Banner Here is another quick 20 minute project that I did using scraps I already had on hand. I cut 5 triangles out of burlap (you can do any size of triangle that you choose). Then I cut a long 2″ x 36″ strip of patterned green chevron fabric. Next I used some chip board letters that I also had on hand, I painted them green and added some glitter while they were still wet. while waiting for the chip board letters to dry I used my glue gun and glued the 5 triangles onto the 36″ strip of fabric, making sure they were…

Lucky Sign
Lucky Sign This isliterally a 15 minute project! I painted this tack strip black, cut a contact paper template using my silhouette machine, stuck the template onto the board and painted all letters green except the “u” horseshoe shape. For the horseshoe I used mod podge and the sprinkled gold glitter ontop of the wet modpodge. I waited until the paint was set, then removed my template. It’s such a fun addition to my St. Patrick’s Day decor. I also loved the idea of replacing the “u” with a horseshoe!

Shamrock Glass Gem Jewelry
Shamrock Glass Gem Jewelry This really isn’t a new concept at all. I just tweaked another way to use these. Remember about 8-10 years ago, it was really popular to glue scrapbook paper on the back of these jems and add a magnet? Totally the same thing here! I just stepped it up a notch and made them into something wearable. If you looking for a fun St. Patrick’s Day craft to do with your kids or tweens. Add this to your list, It is really simple inexpensive and I’m sure they will be proud to wear their new creation on St. Patrick’s Day. Plus you may just use some…

St. Patrick’s Pillow Boxes
St. Patrick’s Pillow Boxes Being a crafter I am always looking for opportunities to craft and it doesn’t matter if it’s a big or small item. I also loving sharing the crafts I make with others. Although I don’t always have the time or resources to make big item’s to give away I enjoy making small inexpensive paper crafts for gifts. Seeing how St. Patrick’s day isn’t a large holiday I decided to make a few small pillow boxes to give as a fun little gift. I have a die cut that I can use with my Cuttle Bug to cut these pillow boxes. But, these can be made a…
