    Summer Lovin’ watermelon sign

    June 2, 2023 / 0 Comments

Always having a piece of wood painted comes in handy. Especially when making this Summer Lovin’ watermelon sign. My first piece of advice when crafting is always to have square wood pieces cut, painted and ready to go. This piece is an easy make when you already have pre-painted wood blocks or boards.   There are a lot of free SVG’s you can find online. I look on Pinterest and google. Find an SVG of a Watermelon, which font you want to use and watch a cute sign come together.

Follow along on how to make Christmas blocks! If you see in the photo below you can see how I used the little red truck block to add to a small tiered tray. To create your own Christmas blocks you will need: 2″ by 4″ pine wood boards – We use whatever scraps we can find. White or Red paint Small Christmas like embellishments you can glue onto the blocks paintbrushes Assortment of Christmas scrapbook paper or stick on vinyl chop saw To start measure and cut your 2″ by 4″ board into squares using your chop saw, they will actually be 3.5 ” by 3.5″. Bathroom Floating shelves

    April 30, 2022 / 0 Comments

We have several Floating Shelves in our home and these were made by my husband in February of 2021. During the winter my husband goes a little stir crazy as he loves being outdoors so during the winter months I try to give him projects to work on. Here is one of the projects! I love Shanty 2 Chic and all their creative wood projects. The plans are easy to follow by using this tutorial on making floating shelves. Although, changing the dimensions on our shelves. We also did not use our Kreg Jig. We felt that there was no need to as all the nails and holes were inside…

Large Gather Glass Framed Wall Décor

    November 15, 2021 / 0 Comments

How many times do you see a used frame and pass it up or get rid of it because you have no use for it? This Large Gather Glass Framed Wall Décor is an upcycle! Krystal is the queen of finding treasures and when we both saw this beauty we knew it could be fabulous. Frames can be used in so many ways but this time I fell in love. Sometimes I fall in love with the things we make and it is hard to give them away. Krystal took the frame and cleaned it up then chose to paint it a light teal color. Once she chose the paint…

    Octagon Bee Happy wood Signs

    August 24, 2021 / 0 Comments

This project is definitely one that is fun for summer! Check out these Bee Happy wood Signs with an Emphasis on the “Bee” part. Bee’s are fun to decorate the home with especially if they are Honey Bee’s. I’ve seen a lot of bee décor pop up over the past few years and thought it would be fun to jump on board. Using any type of wood is fine for this project you will just need a saw to cut the octagon shape. Using any other shape will work too but we think the Octagon was something unique and different. The size of the sign is also up to the…

    June 11, 2021 / 0 Comments

During our Spring yard sale haul, we found this wooden lazy susan for $1. It was in pretty rough shape. We decided to give it a new life by creating a door hanger out of it. Check out our video below to see how we created this trendy hi-door hanger from the lazy susan we found. Thanks for watching!

Snow Day Winter Home Decor Sign

    January 5, 2020 / 0 Comments

As I changed my home decor at the beginning of January from Christmas to Winter grays, blue, and white decor.  I noticed that I don’t have many decor items to put up and my house almost looks baron for a crafter!  Sometimes its hard to know how to decorate for in between seasons.  I’m always creating and adding new pieces to my seasonal decor.  We came up with the idea to create a Snow Day Winter Home Decor Sign to add to our January decor.  Like many of our other projects any scrap wood, vinyl, and paint will make creating this project quick and simple. To create your own Snow Day Winter…

Fall Harvest Two Tiered DIY Tray

    November 4, 2019 / 0 Comments

Tiered Trays are all the rave right now and there are so many darling one’s out there. Have you noticed the price tag on some of those tiered trays? I have yet to find one that I like under $45.00. Making your own tiered tray is so much cheaper then buying one so here is a simple tutorial to follow on how to make your own. First off you will want to find two separate trays either both round or both square. Make sure one tray is smaller than the other. By using different sizes of trays you can see the items on the lower tray better. If not you…
