DIY – Simple Candy Cane Bath Salts with gift tag

    December 2, 2019 / 0 Comments

Looking for a small, easy gift idea for those girlfriends? This is the easiest and simplest Candy Cane Bath Salts tutorial you will ever find! First, gather the containers you will be using to give your gift of bath salts in. I found little unused brand new glass jars at a garage sale last Summer. Next, Purchase some Epsom Salt and Peppermint essential oil.  Since this is just a simple & easy bath salt I didn’t want the fizz that goes with a bath bomb so I opted out of using baking soda or any other ingredients. If I could buy just Peppermint Epsom salt I would! Per every cup…

Fall Harvest Two Tiered DIY Tray

    November 4, 2019 / 0 Comments

Tiered Trays are all the rave right now and there are so many darling one’s out there. Have you noticed the price tag on some of those tiered trays? I have yet to find one that I like under $45.00. Making your own tiered tray is so much cheaper then buying one so here is a simple tutorial to follow on how to make your own. First off you will want to find two separate trays either both round or both square. Make sure one tray is smaller than the other. By using different sizes of trays you can see the items on the lower tray better. If not you…

    Fall Harvest Wood Pumpkin

    October 21, 2019 / 0 Comments

I know this may sound crazy but the dollar store has some awesome and cute deals. We found the leaves and the metal Harvest wording at the dollar store. If you cut your own pumpkin you will want to make the pumpkin with a flat edge along the bottom.  This is so the pumpkin can either stand on it’s own or lean against something. I cut the pumpkin out of pine on my scroll saw and made sure the edges looked wavy like a pumpkin.  The versatility is endless on which type of wood you want to use. Once the pumpkin is cut you can sand down the edges of…

Planked Wood Faux Shiplap Accent Wall

    July 25, 2019 / 0 Comments

There are so many cute walls in homes right now! I’ve seen Shiplap, Planked, Board and Batten and even some darling wall paper! So much creativity out there so of course I just had to jump on the bandwagon! Shiplap is gorgeous but to purchase the actual stuff can be quite pricey, especially if you are doing a large wall. So game on! Finding a cheap way to plank a wall in my home without it breaking the bank. Take note that I also did this wall during the holidays (between Thanksgiving and Christmas) and I am barely posting about it! Yep! I am a little behind.   Here is…

DIY Kitchen Bead Board Back Splash

    October 1, 2018 / 0 Comments

Today I am sharing my beautiful DIY Beadboard Kitchen Back splash with you. For years I’ve told my husband I want a back splash but I’ve gone back and forth so many times on deciding until I saw a photo of a beadboard back splash! I was really excited because I have a lot of beadboard throughout my home so I knew it would tie in nicely. Plus it would lighten up my kitchen and add dimension! So, if you want to do a beadboard black splash here are some simple steps to follow. First, Measure the area between your counter and to the bottom of your cupboards. You’ll also…

    September 15, 2018 / 0 Comments

If you are wondering we are still around just busy as ever preparing for the upcoming seasons! Ever wonder how you should decorate your porch in September? It is hard because everyone is decorating with fall decor’ yet it is still 90 degrees outside for half of the month. But a Wreath can always be interchangeable and used anytime of the year. So how about a Sunflower wreath to transition from Summer to Fall? Sunflowers work for both seasons! My sister just had a baby and I knew she needed something for her front door along with my mother suggesting we make Sunflower wreaths. I found this cute idea on…

Handmade Shelving DIY using Industrial Piping

    April 4, 2018 / 0 Comments

This Handmade Shelving using Industrial Piping is a quick Saturday afternoon project that will seriously change the look of any room! There are tutorials all over the web for these type of shelving so this is probably nothing new. Simplifying was the route I used. (Yes that is a ceiling fan in my bathroom- best decision ever) First gather your supplies. You will need: 1- 8 foot long 2″ x 8″ Fir Wood. Cut in half to make 4 foot lengths. Table saw or chop saw to cut the wood (If you don’t have a saw you can have your local wood store cut it) Hardware needed: 4 – 3/4″…

“This is Us” Large 4 ft. wall home décor sign

    February 21, 2018 / 0 Comments

Watching the T.V.  series “This is Us” from the beginning of season one has got me hooked! Each week I wait patiently to see what emotional roller coaster that the Pearson family will lead their viewers into next. I find myself comparing this amazing program to my own life and realizing that I too have my own “This is Us” series in my life. Loving the concept of the show and how real some of the characters are to me. It gives me a true reflection into my own life and assists me in realizing that no matter how difficult a circumstance is in my life that there is always good. There is…

Storage style Alexia Bench with drawers

    February 19, 2018 / 0 Comments

Let’s take a little blast to the past. How about October of 2014 to be exact when I found the plans of a darling little storage style bench with drawers online and I just had to make it! It’s been 3 1/2 years since this storage style bench was made and still to this day I get asked about it all the time. First off if you know anything about me at all you’ll know that I am not good at watching tutorials. Why? Mainly because I can’t stand doing things how other’s do things. I am me! I like to do it my way. Give me a set of plans and…
