Rustic 3-D String Pumpkin
Finally! September is here and it is time to start thinking forward to fall. My pumpkins in my garden are turning a beautiful bright orange color, the sun is starting to set sooner and there is a hint of coolness starting into the evening air. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year with the colorful display of falling leaves, the smells of baked goodness and the start of sweater weather. To get a jump start on Fall decor’ we have so many fun items in our Fall line up of crafts. Beginning with this cute wooden block pumpkin. First take a block of wood (our’s measured 10″…

Make your own 20 minute fall Deco Mesh Wreath
20 minute fall deco mesh wreath I love the look of the Deco mesh wreath’s. I really never thought about making one, until a friend asked me to help her with one. Doing a little research online I found a really amazing tutorial on Big Bear’s Wife The base only takes about 20 minutes to put together. Then decorate and glue in anything you desire. Here are 2 wreath’s we made for fall. The first one, I hung a folded paper wreath I made over top. The second one, I made the happy fall sign to place in the center of the open circle. I used a piece of leftover…

Thanksgiving Gather Painted Shutter
Gather Shutter I took an old closet door shutter that I purchased at a garage sale. Making a template on the Silhouette is fairly easy! There are a lot of tutorials on you tube to make a template. This Gather template is cut out of contact paper. The shutter was originally black so instead of painting two separate colors we decided to keep the actual word Gather black. We aligned the letters on the shutter then painted around them Once done painting the mustard yellow color we peeled the letters off and did any necessary touch up to the letters / shutter. We also antiqued the shutter once the shutter…

Free Fall Acorn Printable for giving Thanks!
Fall Acorn Printable Thanksgiving is right around the corner and there is no reason not to give thanks to a friend, co worker, neighbor or family member who has maybe been there for you! As I am sure you have seen there is a cute little treat that is made to look like a Fall Acorn. It is a donuts hole covered with icing, sprinkles and a pretzel for a stem. This is such a fun little treat to share with someone but why not add a cute printable to go along with it? We have had so much fun making printables lately that we whipped up this one perfect…

Simple Square Wood Handmade Fall Pumpkins
Square pressure treated wood pumpkins These pumpkins are made from left over pressure treated posts that I used for my grapevine Trellis. My husband cut 3 different pumpkins down to 3 different sizes. The pressure treated posts are already square so it is easy to cut a 3″, 6″ and a 8″ tall pumpkin. The first set in the first photo did not get any paint. Fun patterns of scrapbook paper came in handy to cut to size and mod podge on to the front, sides and back of the pumpkins. Add a dowel and some ribbon! Attempting to hand paint / stencil mine is no easy feat! They…

Be Grateful Outdoor sign for post
Last month I did this for October and this for September… Look what I did for November! My hubby is at it again! He helped me assemble this project and my bestie did the template. We decided to go with the more natural look for Thanksgiving and we are really loving the stained wood look right now! Sooo pretty! We used 1 1/2″ x 24″ wood slats. We had to cut the dimensions correctly to fit to our post. So overall this turned out pretty big 2 ft. wide by 2.5 ft. in length. We also used a metallic paint to give the “Be Grateful” a shimmery look. Thank you…

Burlap Turkey Door Hanger
Burlap Turkey Door Hanger I absolutely loved the Burlap Owl that I did a few weeks ago that it inspired me to want to do another burlap project. This next one (A Turkey) was a beast. Now, let me tell you there is no pattern we used for this- just a lot of free handing and guessing. Both myself and my girlfriend learned a few valuable lessons on this Turkey. (one being don’t go with cheap loose weave burlap!) We do not feel we are amateur’s when it comes to crafting and normally we can look at a project and BAM!! Create it. We knew we could create this one…

Pumpkin Can Gift
Quick Halloween Gift Okay, Super easy gift idea – Take a #10 tin can (can be a used coffee can, potato flake can) and clean it out really good! Next, spray paint it orange, after it has dried you can either free hand a pumpkin face onto it or you can use a template (which we did) to create a jack-o-lantern face. Spray paint the black and let it dry. Once the can is dried punch two holes through the tin (opposite sides of the can and opposite sides of the face on the can) and string wire through the holes to make a handle for the can. Add ribbon…

3D Framed Pumpkin
3D pumpkin This is another fast easy project. Much like the 3D spider I made. This was done on a 5×7 frame. Took a pumpkin from the dollar store. Cut it in half & glued it onto the glass portion of the frame, add a twig for the stem and a little ribbon. Put some cute scrapbook paper behind the glass and easy enough you have some fall décor! There are several versions of this going around and I can see why. It is super cute, fast and cheap to make!
