How to make hanging Ghosts
Ghostly Greetings Halloween is a fun spooky time of the year and definately a kids holiday! My girls and I decided to whip up some ghosts that we had seen in the Better Homes and Garden magazine. I ran to the dollar store and purchased some $1 bowls. Once home I drilled a small hole into the center of each bowl then reinforced the holes with duct tape so they wouldn’t crack. We then spray painted each bowl white. While the bowls were drying we went into the house and cut out some fun mouths and eyes out of felt for our ghosts and also cut some white fabric to…

Krystal – she did the stencil and I did the wood (well ok my stallion of a husband did the wood) but I cheered him on! I did paint though – We started out with our fence boards and my hubby cut them to size. We made our sign’s a little…

Guest – Ready Bathroom
My half bathroom in my home gets used a lot. It is the only bathroom (besides my master bathroom) on the main floor of my home. People do not want to walk upstairs to use my upper bathroom nor do they want to walk downstairs to use my basement bathroom and of course I’m not going to let them use mine 😉 So, I have a half bathroom to accommodate my guests. This is probably the most used bathroom in the house! During the summer time we host a lot of barbeques and this summer even a 3 day family reunion! With all the extra guests I want to keep…

Firefly made from wooden dowels
Outdoor Wooden Firefly I found an old plant stand at a garage sale and used the tiers for these platters but didn’t know what to use with the wooden ornamental dowels from the stand so I decided to make some fireflies. I sanded down these dowels then traced a set of wings for my fireflies onto wood. I painted them a teal color and glued them together.. this was a super fast project! I added some wire for the fireflies antannas then mounted it to my railing this little firefly added some character to my deck! <

American Flag made from a Pallet
Pallet American Flag There are some crafty people out there in the world that make things look so easy. This next project inspiration was found on none other than Pinterest. There were many variations of Pallet flags and each one was so adorable I figured it couldn’t be that hard! When the sun was setting my girlfriend and I jumped in my golf cart and cruised the neighborhood scoping out all the new homes that are in the construction mode. We were in hopes to find some pallets someone would give us to use for our project. We found a few in garbage piles covered in sheetrock mud but we…

4th of July wood fireworks wood plaque
4th of July fireworks wood plaque The 4th of July is just around the corner and I am excited to decorate for the season! On the scroll saw I traced and cut out some wood plaques in a whimsical shape and painted them red I used shapes and letters that were cut out on the cricut using contact paper. Once the paint was dry I applied the letters and shapes. Then painted them the colors I wanted. Once that coat was dry I added another layer to the letter portion and painted it once again. Along the way I stamped some circles etc. to look like fireworks and added glitter…
