Yogurt Strawberry Shortcake in a mason jar

There are so many recipes out there for Strawberry short cake and so many ideas of items you can put in a mason jar.  I have a friend who has done so much for me and I wanted to do something simple for her to let her know how much I appreciate her.  I cleaned out a few mason jars and found some cute lids that I have had stashed away for a moment like this.  I diced up some angel food cake into chunks, I then whipped up some yogurt fruit dip and chopped up some strawberries.  I layered the cake, fruit dip & strawberries until the jar was about 3/4 the way full.   At that point I topped the shortcake off with some whipped topping just enough to not get all over the lid. I placed a muffin cup over the rim of the jar then screwed the lid on and delivered it to my friend.  The little jars were so cute once layered and all done that I just had to take pictures and share!

not to mention it was a tasty treat.. and for the record no I did not make the angel food cake.. I have attempted several times and mine never turn out as fluffy!
