Time for a Party?
The stress of the holiday season was not officially over for me until January 10th this year. For some odd reason I have been appointed as my company party planner even though I do accounting. I have tried to protest multiple times but in the end I just don’t know how to say no.
Last Summer I organized & carried out an overnight couples retreat for our entire company & spouses up at Snowbird Ski resort. It was a lot of fun & apparantly I did a well enough job that the owner of the company asked if I would plan & carry out our holiday party. I couldn’t come up with any ideas right off the bat but I knew I didn’t want to try to cram the event during the hectic month of December so I went ahead & booked it at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi Utah for January 10th.
I decided I liked the theme we used from our Young Women’s night in excellence & went with that same idea. We based everything around the Emmy awards, movies & stars. We had an Elvis band come & play, we did some movie trivia, gave away popcorn buckets with goodies, movies & hollywood gift cards.
Here are all of our husbands (including Justin) helping my department (accounting) essemble the Hollywood archway
Here are the popcorn buckets with movie passes we gave to each employee (my boss Nicole is in the right hand corner she rocks!)
Working on the archway.

Justin was so good to pitch in & help out with this event. I am just glad it is OVER!!

Nice. Especially if you have a better budget than the local Enrichment Committee. See, your calling as Enrichment Leader was not in vein. It just paved the way for bigger and better things.
I thinked they picked the right person to plan a party. You like to make things nice and you are social.
It looks like it turned out great.
