Theater room lighting
There is nothing better than going to the theater and being able to see the floor when you walk because of the awesome pathway lighting. Krystal has a Theater room in her home that we have spent many of hours watching movies in. The theater room has a cozy feel with two large leather couches that have recliners in them. The second couch sits up higher than the first couch and you have to walk up a step to reach the second couch in the theater room. At times it can be difficult to see the stair when you have to leave the room during a movie or when the room is dark. So Krystal and I came up with the idea to add some LED lighting along the edge of the platform and step in the room. I had the pleasure of working with The DIY outlet to make this idea into a reality.
To start let me give you a glimpse inside of the Theater room

this gives you an idea of how the sofa’s sit in the room. to add the LED Rope lighting my husband figured out that the rope could be cut to any length
The DIY Outlet supplied us with a large roll of LED rope lights My husband Justin figured out that you can cut the rope into any length that you desire so this enabled us to measure the platform in the movie room and custom fit the lights to the room. The LED Rope lights can be used for many things including:
Christmas lights, Landscape lighting, Patio lighting, Upper cabinet or under cabinet lighting, Decorative wording, pathway lighting, staircases, parties, and we are even going to add some to our awning of our camp trailer this summer for outdoor lighting in the evenings.
Here are some facts about these lights:
•Crystal Clear PVC Tubing for Durable Use and Brighter
•Cuttable Every 3 Feet (At Marked Intervals)
•Easily to Bend into Any Shape
•Energy-Saving and Longer-life
•Free Silicone Glue can stick to the power connectors or the end caps and make the cutters waterproof.(except for Red Rope)
•High Flexibility, Temperature Sustainability, and UV Resistance
•UL Listed and CE Certifications
For our project we used a standard staple gun and some clear vinyl to wrap the lighting in. using scissors we cut strips of vinyl to wrap around the Rope lighting to attach it to the platform. Once the vinyl was wrapped around each section of lighting we would staple it in and move along to the next section. This project was pretty easy and added so much to the theater room. The clear vinyl worked perfect and you couldn’t even tell that the rope lighting was held in place by it.

We ran the lighting up along the floor of the platform and behind the back of the couch to give it some more ambiance to the room. We couldn’t be more pleased with how it all turned out! So pop up some popcorn, kick up your feet and enjoy a night in your beautifully lit Theater room.
