The Wedding
Little Geoff the baby of my family is finally old enough to be married!! Geoff met his new wife Cheryl at BYU Idaho & they were married June 19th 2009 in the Rexburg Idaho temple. We went up to Idaho on Tuesday night the 16th & stayed at my parents until the 21st.
On Wednesday afternoon the 17th we held a bridal shower for Cheryl at my mom’s house. My mom & sister Tiffany put together these little purses to give to the guests filled with chocolates. My little girls had fun helping with these and ended up coming home with quite a few of them.
The refreshments were delicious!
Here is my new sister in law Cheryl opening her gifts at the shower!
The cousins all had fun playing with one another! They played outside a lot on the trampoline & with sidewalk chalk. They adopted the neighbors dog “Odie” and since they didn’t know his name they renamed him “Jackson” they tried sneaking him in at night & the dog loved all the attention. Although us adults didn’t think it was as amusing when the dog was barking non stop at midnight wanting to be played with.
My little miss Maeli enjoying drawing on the cement.
Friday morning was the wedding ceremony & we all journeyed over to the church for a luncheon here are the kiddos waiting for some food! We enjoyed a video of Geoff & Cheryl then stuck around afterwards to set up for the reception.
The day was busy and the kids enjoyed posing in front of the back drops!
Can you tell her colors were purple?? The girls all had matching dresses that they wore that night at the reception.
Here are the Bride & Groom standing in the line that evening welcoming their guests.
My mom had the reception catered and the food was absolutely delicious!
Little Maeli & Nephew Chandler – I love this picture!
I was able to get a few family shots in.
If any of you know Justin.. well this photo of him helping decorate the “get away” car sums it all up.. Yep that would be my Justin that wrote this! ahh he makes me laugh!
Saturday after the wedding we ended up going swimming at the Idaho Falls aquatic center then enjoyed a fun filled dinner at pizza hut.
The week was a fun week except that Justin started feeling under the weather Thursday night. It progressively got worse & he was throwing up with a fever by Sunday. He ended up at the Doctors after we got home Sunday and they told him he had the flu. The Doctor tested him for the infamous swine flu.
They put him on a few antibiotics and sent him on his way. Poor guy laid in bed for 5 days without much progress before I finally took him back to the Doctor the following Saturday where they determined he had pnemonia. Nothing like a shot in the bum and some more antibiotics to make a guy feel better. Now over 2 weeks of antibiotics later he is feeling better but has a horrible cough that won’t go away!
