Fall

Thanksgiving and Stuffing.. or I mean stuff and things

Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, yams, furit salad, veggie tray, hot rolls, home made cranberry sauce, carrot pudding, pumpkin pie, cheesecake.. Yep that is what my day consisted of.

That and watching my brothers, son & nephew play xbox 😉

I love hosting Thanksgiving at my home, I love the preparation and the time spent with family but most of all I enjoy STAYING HOME. The older I get the more I like to be home. To kick up my feet and enjoy what I have around me.

I love getting everyone to participate! My mom is always by far right in there with both hands and she sure knows how to do it!

Somehow I manage to get Justin in on the carving session.. Do the gloves really surprise you with him??

Then my daughter after my own heart- she loves to be in the heart of the holidays.

We always take turns sharing the blessings that we are grateful for and for some reason this year there were more tears shed than normal.

Then there is the hours and hours of pour over the ads to see what stores we will hit for the year.. I think this was my dad and Tiffany scoping out a new camera for Tiffany. I was VERY impressed when I saw my dad head to Walmart with us at Midnight!

I must say I am grateful for my family. I am grateful that I can be ME around my family. I like that I can swear and they don’t act shocked but I am also grateful that they can see that I love my savior.

I am grateful for the home I have to invite people to, the hands that I have to prepare such a meal, and the ability to kick up my feet and enjoy the insanity that comes with it all. I love watching the cousins play with one another and of course I am thankful that I have a son who attempted to make his first pumpkin pie ever!

I do believe that I could go on and on for all that I am grateful for.

Things I love… getting to see more of your house, via the Internet. Love the hardwood floors, love the cabinets… The one thing missing from your get together was the Oregon Stewarts. 😉

I love the fact that Dad braved WalMart with you at midnight. Just what WAS in that turkey you served? LOL
