Festive Fall Leaf Sewn Table Runner
Do you remember our plethora of Table runners that we purchased many years ago? If you do not remember let me spark your memory! Check out these previous posts on our table runners: St. Patrick’s day table runner Summer Table Runner or our fun Patriotic July Runner. Little did we know that these runners would create so many fun projects! Since we have done every season we felt a Fall Leaf table runner would be perfect! The reason this one was so perfect is because the already pre-cut burlap leaves came in a pack for only $1.00 at the dollar store! Each pack includes 5 leaves so it makes sense to buy a…

Upcycling an old hutch / curio cabinet
Every year for Christmas my family rotates names and this year I am lucky enough to have my sister and her family. My sister moved into a new home and struggles with decorating it. So, for me it is easy to have a million ideas as to what I could give her. While visiting her home recently she complained of some television wires hanging out of her wall. Making a promise to her that I would help her figure out how to cover the wires. I stumbled across this Curio cabinet on our local classifieds for $65.00 and decided to Upcycle it for my sister. These are the photos that…

DIY Rustic Re-purposed Wood Shutter With Hooks
I have had this old Wood Shutter sitting in my garage for several years. I purchased several shutters at a garage sale for $2.00 and then found more! Both Krystal and I had 6 shutters for under $5.00 over the years I have used the shutters for various projects. I’ve made a Noel sign for Christmas and a Flag shutter for the 4th of July. But WAIT!! Who could forget the Thanksgiving Shutter ?? As you can see I have used Shutters for each holiday but I had one full length one left so I wanted to create something for my sister. This originally was meant to be for her back hall to…

Handmade Shelving DIY using Industrial Piping
This Handmade Shelving using Industrial Piping is a quick Saturday afternoon project that will seriously change the look of any room! There are tutorials all over the web for these type of shelving so this is probably nothing new. Simplifying was the route I used. (Yes that is a ceiling fan in my bathroom- best decision ever) First gather your supplies. You will need: 1- 8 foot long 2″ x 8″ Fir Wood. Cut in half to make 4 foot lengths. Table saw or chop saw to cut the wood (If you don’t have a saw you can have your local wood store cut it) Hardware needed: 4 – 3/4″…

“This is Us” Large 4 ft. wall home décor sign
Watching the T.V. series “This is Us” from the beginning of season one has got me hooked! Each week I wait patiently to see what emotional roller coaster that the Pearson family will lead their viewers into next. I find myself comparing this amazing program to my own life and realizing that I too have my own “This is Us” series in my life. Loving the concept of the show and how real some of the characters are to me. It gives me a true reflection into my own life and assists me in realizing that no matter how difficult a circumstance is in my life that there is always good. There is…

Storage style Alexia Bench with drawers
Let’s take a little blast to the past. How about October of 2014 to be exact when I found the plans of a darling little storage style bench with drawers online and I just had to make it! It’s been 3 1/2 years since this storage style bench was made and still to this day I get asked about it all the time. First off if you know anything about me at all you’ll know that I am not good at watching tutorials. Why? Mainly because I can’t stand doing things how other’s do things. I am me! I like to do it my way. Give me a set of plans and…

Dining Room Table Re do
I Built my home in 2010 and during that time dark colors were in. Black tables, Black coffee and end tables – darker wall color, dark cabinets and every shade of tan, brown and cream colors were in. Flash forward to 2017 / 2018. The Era of Farmhouse everything. When every suburbia mom wants the “Farmhouse” look yet they don’t live in a Farmhouse. I am still trying to understand this. So how does all of this fit in with my Dining Room Table Redo? White on white is not my style – I am a girl that loves me some color and depth. Although I also do realize that…

DIY Fall Pumpkin Harvest and polka dot painted birch logs
This has to be one of my all time favorite crafts that I have made to date. It is a classy statement piece. Pair the large pumpkin with a smaller birch log pumpkin and these Harvest pumpkins can be displayed from September through November. Perfect for Halloween, Fall and Thanksgiving. First gather your round birch bases – Luckily we scored these from an awesome neighbor who had a lot sitting by the side of her house. She was kind enough to part with them! Each log is cut into a 4″ thick slab. The dimensions around the flat surface of the log are approx. 12″ to 14″. So you can…
