From the moment I saw this sign on Heart to Heart Signs I fell in love and knew that I needed to make one for myself.  If you are not handy but are dying to get your hand’s on this cute sign you can buy it from Heart to Heart Signs on Etsy.  She has a huge assortment of darling signs to choose from.  I love how creative people are and what an inspiration they are to me! Halloween paper cone wreath tutorial

    September 29, 2015 / 0 Comments

I have seen these paper cone wreaths and to be honest they have been on my “to make” list for years!  I decided with our upcoming Halloween party that it would be fun to make a few of these for prizes.   If you are look for a quick fun craft project to would recommend whipping up a Halloween paper cone wreath. The hardest part is picking out what paper to use!  I purchased a few of the 6″ x 6″ Halloween mat stacks of designed cardstock paper which you can easily find at any local craft store.  Next I selected 7 different designs and pulled out 2 sheets of each…

Make your own 20 minute fall Deco Mesh Wreath

    November 9, 2014 / 1 Comment

20 minute fall deco mesh wreath I love the look of the Deco mesh wreath’s. I really never thought about making one, until a friend asked me to help her with one.  Doing a little research online I found a really amazing tutorial on Big Bear’s Wife The base only takes about 20 minutes to put together. Then decorate and glue in anything you desire. Here are 2 wreath’s we made for fall. The first one, I hung a folded paper wreath I made over top. The second one, I made the happy fall sign to place in the center of the open circle. I used a piece of leftover…

Simple Square Wood Handmade Fall Pumpkins

    October 9, 2014 / 0 Comments

Square pressure treated wood pumpkins These pumpkins are made from left over pressure treated posts that I used for my grapevine Trellis. My husband cut 3 different pumpkins down to  3 different sizes. The pressure treated posts are already square so it is easy to cut a 3″, 6″ and a 8″ tall pumpkin.  The first set in the first photo did not get any paint.  Fun patterns of scrapbook paper came in handy to cut to size and mod podge on to the front, sides and back of the pumpkins. Add a dowel and some ribbon!     Attempting to hand paint / stencil mine is no easy feat! They…

Halloween mesh wreath and front porch Decorations

    October 6, 2014 / 0 Comments

Halloween mesh wreath This year my front porch needed something different. I wanted to coordinate it a little bit more with my Dead and Breakfast sign. So bring in the skeleton’s, spiders, and some black and white! Here is a new wreath I made from my front door. This cost approximately $7.00 total. The super easy, cheap and fast tutorial on how to make a wreath form can be found on Big Bear’s wife. I found the skull heads at the dollar store already glittered! They also light up so if I want to click the switch those little skull eyes blink and light up! The mesh was on clearance…
