    January Snowflake faux Chalkboard Sign

    January 18, 2018 / 1 Comment

These past few years we have been on a mission to create winter themed décor for our homes. It seems that after the holidays when the tree and all the decorations come down, it can feel depressing. What could be better than decorating in a blue and white snowflake theme that is perfect for the month of January. This year we created this January Snowflake faux chalkboard sign to add to all of our winter décor. Would you like to create your own January Snowflake faux chalkboard sign? To make this January Snowflake sign you will need: 1- 12″ by 12″ cut piece of wood A large snowflake (wood, metal,…

Round Framed Skeleton For Halloween Home Décor

    October 25, 2017 / 0 Comments

Have you ever seen a round frame where the glass inside of it bubbles outward? The thing I love about garage sales is the ability to find random items and recycle or up-cycle them. So this bubbled frame got revamped and turned into a fun Halloween frame Skeleton skull. First I found a copy of this Vintage Anatomy Skull  which I thought was absolutely darling! If you want to create the same print the skull out. Remove all the explanations below by cutting the skull print to the size of the frame.  Once you have the piece of paper to fit the size of the frame you’ll want to put a little…

Halloween wood fall glittered Candy Corn Trio

    October 23, 2017 / 0 Comments

There are so many fun aspects of Halloween and one of them is candy corn! I love how there are different flavors of candy corn  but rather than eating them what I like even better is decorating with them. While out garage saling one Saturday we found these great wood candy corn blocks. They were unpainted but ready to go! $1.00 for both sets wouldn’t be a price we would pass up. Sorry about the blurry pictures sometimes I’m not the best at remembering to take photos as I craft. Snapping a photo at the last second seems to be my specialty.   It’s pretty easy to take a set…

Hocus Pocus I need Hot Cocoa to Focus Mug

    October 16, 2017 / 0 Comments

Hocus Pocus! It is Halloween time which brings the month of October, which brings cooler weather. I love fall and especially when it cools off like it does. The leaves are falling off the trees and I’ve pulled out my hot cocoa! So, Why not make a cute Halloween mug to enjoy my hot cocoa in? Hocus Pocus! First gather a black ceramic mug (these can be found at the dollar store for only $1.00).  When you bring the mug home make sure it is really clean before applying anything to it. The key to making this mug usable is dish washer safe mod podge. That’s right Dishwasher safe! Apply…

Vintage Fourth of July Glitter Star Truck Pillow

    June 28, 2017 / 1 Comment

Do you remember the cute Vintage St. Patrick’s Clover Truck Pillow I did back in February? If you are a follower of mine you will remember the FREE red truck holiday SVG files that Christine over at Cutting for Business was kind and generous enough to share!!  Quick tip though – Don’t click on any of the “Download buttons” on her page. There is a tiny link towards the end of her page that says “Zip Files” and those are the easiest way to get the images! So Christine used the Vintage Fourth of July truck image on a mug but Krystal and I decided to put the image on a pillow!…

DIY Simple Striped Gold Glitter Wooden Easter Egg

    April 10, 2017 / 0 Comments

Something about spring time gives me a renewed energy. I’m not sure if it’s the fresh rain kissed air, sunshine, or the abundance of blossoms.  I’ve gotten to work and the creativity is flowing,  I m excited to get some fun spring crafts done.  This past weekend I was on a roll and was able to finish up several projects that were half done.  After I had finished all of these projects I wasn’t ready to quit.  I found a scrap of wood and cut out an egg shape and then this DIY simple Striped Gold Glitter Wooden Easter Egg came to life. To create your own DIY simple Striped…

DIY Glittered Bunny Ears Easter Decoration

    April 6, 2017 / 0 Comments

Don’t you just love it when something sparks your creativity?  While browsing the web for Easter decoration ideas I was looking at a picture to realize that only half of the picture was on my computer screen.  What I thought was just bunny ears was actually a whole wooden bunny! I loved the idea of just a set of wooden bunny ears as a decoration instead of a whole bunny.  So, I decided to create my own template and made these DIY Glittered Bunny Ears Easter Decoration. To make your own DIY Glittered Bunny Ears Easter Decoration you will need: Press board or other wood White paint Pink paint Pink…

Polka Dot Mini Pumpkins make over DIY

    October 5, 2016 / 0 Comments

During one of our many garage sale adventures we found these Mini Pumpkins. They were painted but pretty basic and just a little out dated.  We were able to purchase all of the pumpkins that they had for only $1.00. These Mini Pumpkins were going to come home with us to get a little face lift!  First off I sanded a few of them down to a rustic and faded orange. I made sure to get rid of the dark orange lines on the pumkins.  Once they were sanded I then added glittered polka dots to the existing orange paint.  The easiest way to glitter them is by putting dots of…

Lucky St. Patrick’s free printableTag and Banner

    March 7, 2014 / 0 Comments

Free Lucky St. Patrick’s Printable Tag This is a cute little gift I got from Krystal. She made a Cute Lucky St. Patrick’s banner for me – This cute banner is triangles cut out of card stock (plain white).  With some triangle cut tissue paper glued onto the top of the triangle card stock. The tissue paper has gold glittered polka dots. You could do this with any cute tissue paper! Just cut the tissue paper into triangles to match the same size of the triangle card stock pennants. Using a light glue (to not cause bubbling of the tissue paper) just stick the tissue paper to stick to the…
