Lemon Water Refresher
Lemon Water Refresher
Last year I attended a party and the hostess was serving lemon water as the drink. I went ahead and got myself a glass as I was just thinking it was plain water with lemon’s sliced in it. As soon as I took that first sip I thought WOW this is good! As it hit my taste buds I realized this was an amazing lemon water that I was not expecting! I was not prepared for the tangy sweet goodness that this crossover mix between lemonade and lemon water had to offer. A totally unique lemon experience and very refreshing! I asked this sweet friend if she would be willing to share her recipe and also let me share it with all of you!! She has been so kind and given me permission to post her recipe!
If you are looking for a great Summer drink look no further you have found it. I promise it will be a crowd pleaser at your next party or Barbecue!! Your friends and family will be hunting you down for this recipe. Heck!!! I don’t even wait for a party to serve this! I make it for myself and keep it in the fridge. It really is a refreshing drink on a hot day and from here on out, I know we will be having plenty of those hot summer days!
The best part about the recipe is how simple it is to make. Simply add Water, sugar, lemon extract and citric acid together then stir until dissolved. It only takes about 5 minutes from start finish! Make sure you don’t confuse lemon extract with lemon juice. I have pictured the 2 ingredients that really make this drink unique! They may not be a staple in your cupboard but I can guarantee this drink is worth purchasing them for.

- 5 quarts water
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 T. lemon extract
- 1 T. citric acid
- Mix all ingredients together until sugar is dissolved. Add lemon slices to garnish!
