Hanging out with Family

It is always fun to hang out with family & I enjoy that my sister is living closer now. At the beginning of March my mom made a trip down to Utah to spend some time with each of her kids. Myself, my brother Jason & my sister Tiffany & her family now all live in Utah. Before too long my brother Clint & his wife will have served their time in the military so we are keeping our fingers crossed that they will end up back here in Utah also! So my mom came down & I took the day off work to hang out with her & sew! Now let me remind you from my stocking post that I despise sewing but luckily my mother motivates me to try it. She came down & hemmed curtains & shorts for Savanna. She also did a lot of mending. Savanna has an issue with cutting the tags out of her shirts & without help she had managed to cut holes in the necks of 8 different shirts. My mom was a saint & kept me laughing as she mended each shirt. My mom also made a Voodoo doll for Justin that we got a huge laugh out of. (the kids think it is a pin cushion) She also made some doll pillows for the girls dolls & mended a few of my shirts! I did manage to sew all of Kaden’s merit badges on his banner.

Then this past Saturday March 28th my sister Tiffany & her husband Marshall & their boys came & had a barbeque at our house. Justin helped Marshall fix some things on their car. Tiff and I got carried away with the camera & took some fun pics.
(please ignore the fact that I didn’t put any make up on or do my hair that day)

We ate & ate.. I grilled up some steaks, we had a delicious spinach & strawberry salad that Tiffany made (and I still want the recipe for) and some jell-o salad & apple snicker salad, and funeral potatoes.
