Fall Harvest & of course FOOD!!
I am sad to see that another summer has ended but I loved all the things I was able to grow this year!
I enjoyed eating fresh tomatoes off of the plant, making zucchini bread, steaming veggies & my all time favorite growing spaghetti squash. I did manage to grow one cantaloupe but it froze before it got very big.
I have always wondered what I could do with Jalapeno’s besides put them in salsa so this year I remembered there was some really yummy jalapeno jelly that I had tried at work a year ago and I decided to try to make it myself. It turned out awesome & has been a hit with most people that have tried it. Just add some ritz crackers & cream cheese & you have a WONDERFUL snack!
Like my canning process? I do not have a pressure cooker or a hot bath but this worked great. All jars sealed & I didn’t have any break.. hopefully I will get a hot bath for Christmas 😉
When the jalapeno’s cook they turn brown so I added green food coloring to it.
I also made the classic carmeled apples but learned to keep them cool even days after you have made them otherwise the carmel will melt right back off.. A good treat no matter what in the fall!
Maeli has been begging me to help her make mini cherry cheesecakes so Sam, Maeli and I tackled it one night.
The pictures are a bit blurry as I let the girls use my camera and take these pictures.
These were an easy treat that the girls could make with a little supervision.
Last but not least.. me and my hubby – the hat makes me look like I have bags under my eyes!

How fun! You are always doing something fun with your girls! Those carmel apple looked sooooo good! they were like picture perfect! I thought the food coloring in the jelly was so funny! I would have just let it be brown, but it definitely wouldn't have looked as good as yours!
