Easy Sewn Fabric Christmas Gift Bags
Every December I am always looking for neighbor Christmas gift ideas. I usually pass out several neighbor gifts, I like to find things that are inexpensive. I like to give items that are useful or consumable, yet still, let them know that we care about them. This year I decided to go with a consumable gift and purchased a bunch of brownie mixes. I found a fun little poem to go with the mixes but felt like they need something more. I decided to sew some simple bags out of scrap fabric to personalize my brownie mixes. These Easy Sewn Fabric Christmas Gift Bags are so simple that anyone can make them.

To create your own Easy Sewn Fabric Christmas Gift Bags you will need:
Scrap pieces of fabric cut into 30″ by 11″ rectangles (fits a brownie or cake mix size)
Ribbon
Sewing machine or serger
scissors
Gift tag or poem
Select fabric measure and cut to the desired size.

Fold fabric rectangles in half with right sides together. Using your sewing machine or serger, sew up each side of the bag. Either serge or sew around the top to finish off the bag.

Turn bag right side out and slide your brownie or cake mix inside, then tie the top with coordinating ribbons and add a desired gift tag.

I love how the bags turned out, I think they dress up the brownie mix and make it feel like a special gift. What kind of things do you like to give for neighbor Christmas gifts?
