“Come Sit For A Spell” Halloween Chairs

I saw this darling chair here about 2 years ago, It has been at the back of my mind for 2 years!  Finally during one of my yard sale adventures, I said I am going to find chairs to makeover for Halloween.  I put it out there to the univerase that I needed some cheap chairs with a great back that I could put this darling saying on.  One of the weeks I was to sick to go, my sweet sister text me a picture of this darling mini chair and she scored it for me for $3,  I will be keeping this cute little one for myself.

Then last weekednd I pulled up to a yard sale and saw 2 charirs the were perfect, exactly what I was looking for!  The problem was they looked to nice, I thought they are going to want $$$ for them.  When I walked over to check them out, they were marked $1 each!!!  what a steal!!!  They were a little wobbly, nothing a few screws could tighten up.  I got home and got to work first taking the fabric seats off of the chairs.  I took all 3 chairs outside and spray painted them black.

While they were drying I made a quick run to the fabric store and picked up some fun Halloween fabric.  I cut the fabric to fit the chair cushions and then stapled the fabric around the cushion.  After the charis were dry with tightened up the screws and put a few brad nails in to make them nice and sturdy.  I reattached the newly covered seat cushions,  the chairs were darling just like this.

I knew I wanted to add the cute “Come sit for a spell” saying.  I cut the phase out of orange vinyl using my personal cutting machine and applied it to the back rest of the chairs.I will be keeping the mini chair, Avry is taking the glitter spider chair and the last chair will be given as a prize at our upcoming Halloween party!  The total cost to makeover these darling chairs was about $3 per chair total!!!  I love when others trash becomes a great treasure.  These chairs only took about an hour to makeover!  What a deal!!!
