Clarence the elf & Gingerbread houses
I bought this cute little mailbox just for a decoration to put in my house but little did I know this mail box would turn into a correspondence box between my children & Clarence the elf. It has been hilarious watching the kids write letters to him every night & him writing back. He tells the kids when they have been naughty & nice. He even became buddies with Kaden & confided in Kaden that he has a girlfriend elf named “lolli” that has pointy ears & loves to drink syrup like buddy the elf. Every morning the first thing the kids do is run to the mail box to see what Clarence has left them. They have turned the mailbox into a shrine with gifts & treats for Clarence the elf. It is really fun to see the excitement!
As you can see in the photo below Kaden has been wearing a santa hat around the house for the past few days. He has made sure to keep us all laughing by singing his own renditions of holiday songs. He keeps reminding me of what I was like as a child. Yep he is a lot like me! He even told me this week that he tells me more then he does anyone else. It put a smile on my face to know that because I am sure as he hits his teenage years that will probably change. Anyways, he has been such a joy to me & keeps his sisters always laughing.
Maeli has been begging to make Gingerbread housees so last night we had the kids make gingerbread houses! It was a lot of fun due to it being the first time Sav & Sam had ever done these!
It occupied their time for a few hours but man my counters were sticky afterwards! We had a lot of fun.
Each of our kids made one & here are 2 out of the 4
I feel like I am pretty on top of things this year. I was able to mail out 80 Christmas cards the first week of December, Make goodies for our friends and neighbors (that live close by) and get them delivered this past week. The kids loved delivering the goodies & made sure they sang a different carol at the top of their lungs to each house we went to! This was also new to Sav & Sam but they LOVED it! They kept asking me to make more treats to hand out so they could go caroling again!
I had my work get together this past week as did Justin. I like to make a craft each year to give out to my co workers & close friends. So I put together 15 of these wood/glass frames.
Last Saturday night we had Justin’s company party at the Salt Palace & it was all I could do to tear myself away from the huge chocolate fountains they had. We had a delicous dinner, fun entertainment & wonderful company!
So this is the type of week we have had.. Gotta run & take some more pictures as Justin is pulling the kids behind the golf cart on sleds right now…. uh yeah who knew golf carts could also be used as a snowmobile? – I will have to post pics so you can all get a good laugh.

The houses turned out cute too!
(I put my Christmas tree up tonight. I couldn’t handle it and it’s worth it even if it’s only up for a few days.)

I love the mailbox. What a fun little tradition.
And gingerbread houses, that looks like a lot of fun as well.
LIFE IS GOOD!
LOL, golf cart/snowmachine. So are your bringing it up to the cabin. Clarence the Elf is such a cute idea. The ginberbread houses turned out cute. The one I bought for Geoff to do with his girlfriend. Well I knew it wasn’t going to get used and it won’t keep till next year. So I gave it to my VT who has kids. Its no fun to do it by yourself.

Those are some impressive houses! It always amazes me when I see your kids – they are growing up so fast. I feel like an old fart when I say that but it still just blows my mind.
