Fall Harvest & of course FOOD!!
I am sad to see that another summer has ended but I loved all the things I was able to grow this year! I enjoyed eating fresh tomatoes off of the plant, making zucchini bread, steaming veggies & my all time favorite growing spaghetti squash. I did manage to grow one cantaloupe but it froze before it got very big. I have always wondered what I could do with Jalapeno’s besides put them in salsa so this year I remembered there was some really yummy jalapeno jelly that I had tried at work a year ago and I decided to try to make it myself. It’s the great pumpkin patch Charlie Brown!
Nothing like taking a little Hay ride every year out to a huge patch of pumpkins to pick em’ for free! A local Nursery here in Layton gives out coupons to the kids at school every year to come & enjoy a free hay ride & a free pumpkin. It is always fun to go and pick out your own “special” pumpkin! Last year we muddled through a down pour rain to obtain our free pumpkin this year we got lucky with a beautiful fall day! We didn’t even have to wear jackets! Looking for the perfect one! Trick or Treat!!
I think if you would have met these 4 out in your neighborhood on Halloween you would have gone running! These kids are not as innocent as they look!! Kaden came up with his at the last minute & decided he would be a “bum” He soaked his shirt in mud & decided at the same time to cover his face in it also. Jason’s Halloween themed Birthday Party!
I love a get together! Last Friday night (24th) was my brother Jason’s Birthday & what other way to celebrate it this close to Halloween than with a Halloween themed Birthday party?? Here is Jason (holding nephew Rowan) and his friend Mark after carving their awesome pumpkin! Witch’s Brew
The Witches brew I don’t always look like this just when all the witches come out to brew up some trouble. My girlfriend Stacie decided it would be fun to have a “witches brew” The night was filled with delicious food: Friends: and FUN!! We enjoyed the evening and visited until the “witching hour” ok some of us did others of us (namely me) headed home when my eyes began to droop. Justin was a saint to watch all the kids while I went & had this fun girls night out!
