USA 4th of July wood blocks
I took a 2×4 and cut each block 3×3 painted them red, white and blue. Sanded and antiqued the edges and cut the lettering out on my cricut! They look great on my mantle. Wrap these up in some cellophane with a ribbon around the top and it would make a great gift!

Beadboard 4th of July Star
I am sure you have seen these all over blogland because they are quite popular this year! I decided to jump on the bandwagon and make some just because well I can AND how could you not they are SOO cute! I just traced a Larger star onto 2″ pine and then a smaller star onto beadboard. Cut out on the scroll saw, painted, sanded edges, antiqued, nailed together, added some wired to hang it, added a ribbon and there ya go! Very easy and festive! This took me less than an hour to do. After I did this I was told this same pattern is at the wood connection…

Flag for outdoor post
I have a post on my front porch that holds decorative hanging crafts which I like to change out for the different holidays For the upcoming 4th of July and for Utah’s Pioneer day I came up with this flag for my post. Pretty simple! I took a 12×12 size board and taped it off somewhat like a flag. Painted the entire board white. Once dry I measured where I wanted the stripes then went to town painting on the red and blue. I cut out some wood stars to add some demension to my flag and of course glittered it all! 😉 I drilled some holes in the corners…

How to make a decorative ball out of twine
This project literally cost me two dollars to make 4 of these. My girlfriend Krystal told me about a package of 4 waffle type balls at the dollar store for a dollar. I went and purchased the 4 pack and a roll of twine/jute type stuff for a dollar at the dollar store also. Came home and started hot gluing the twine onto the ball. This took maybe 15 minutes per ball but is a lot cheaper then buying these kind of decorative balls at a boutique or home decor store. You can add these to a bowl or vase with a little ribbon and you have a wonderful centerpiece!

May Flower Hanger
Here is the craft I came up with for May to put on my bead board hanger. I traced a flower onto paper then cut it out and used it as a template where I then traced it onto a pine board I did 2 different sizes of flowers. Cut them out on my scroll saw, painted and embellished!

Dry erase board out of a picture frame
I purchased a few cheap 12×16 picture frames from Wal-mart for $3.00 a piece and brought them home, cut out scrapbook paper and attached it to the inside of the frame. I used double sided tape to stick the 12×12 sheets together then just cut off the remaining amount of paper before I attached it to the inside of the frame. I have seen these all over lately and decided to make a few. I have seen them used for grocery lists, caledars, or just for a Honey do list 😉 I added some ribbon and rosettes just to spice them up a little bit. I also used my cricut…

Let’s go fly a kite
Up to the highest height. I am really excited for summer and wanting to plung into some fun colorful summer crafts. So I made a kite.. But not sure how I feel about the bright colors. If you know me or have seen my house it is all darker woods and darker colors.. I am trying to break out of my shell. I am trying to debate if this will be the craft I do for craft night or not. Would this be something you would want to make for a craft at craft night?

That’s what friends are for
Two weeks ago just a few days before my half marathon I came down with a NASTY head cold. Not only that but on Friday of that week my mom came down and I cried on her shoulder – I cried not because anything bad happened but I think mostly because I felt sick and just unappreciated by some people in my life. Of course but who shows up at the door right after my melt down?? But my friend Krystal. She knows me sometimes it is crazy at how well she gets me. She brought me all sorts of “get well” goodies. Cute cute card that says “sick?” then…

What can you do with a zipper?
I was up to my parents for Easter weekend and my mom said my aunt had a bunch of buttons we could go sort through so we headed down to my Aunt Tamera’s. While there she brought out bags and bags of zippers she had picked up somewhere for dirt cheap and said I could have some.. I wish I had grabbed more!! I have all sorts of ideas going through my head as to what I can do with these zippers. I have seen all over online necklaces made from them, rings, pins, wall hangings, pillows, on the tops of shoes oh I could go on and on. So…

Spring Pinwheel Garland
I love spring and all the different ideas that are out there! This idea came to me from Organize your stuff now She had a fourth of July banner on here along with a tutorial. I thought this would be cute in spring colors and can be left through the summer. Although I did mine a little differently and instead of doing a banner I ended up doing just a strip over my pantry door. Kind of cute though huh? I also thought it would be cute to put these on a pic and insert them into a cupcake. You could make these all different sizes from Large to small!
