Halloween Apothecary Jars
One of the hot Halloween decorations lately is Apothecary jars.. scary, creepy jars! I started my search for the perfect jars back in June while out garage saling.. I found some awesome jars but alas there was always that one person who would not part with their beloved jars for less than $5.00 SOO I settled for what I could find in the .25 to .50 cent range. To top it off I got some awesome labels from Anders Ruff in a fun Haunted Halloween Printables set. Aren’t these Jars soo cute?? err I mean scary? I first gathered all my jars and cleaned them out really good, I then…

September is such an odd month to decorate. There are no real holidays in the month of september that you can decorate for maybe back to school? or Apple’s as everything is harvesting… nah let’s shake it up a bit and decorate with owls!! So, for the month of September I have focused on owl’s My really sweet girlfriend whipped me up a few owl pillows to sit on my bench in my front entry! Super cute don’t you think?? Add some color to your front porch
I like to switch out the decor on my front porch every month and since it really feels like summer in the hot month of August what more fun is it to bring in a splash of bright color? I have seen quite a few homes with big daisy flowers hanging on their front doors and I knew it would be simple to accomplish! I took an oblong bowl and just traced the outer edges around in a circle until each edge met. when I trace I always do it on the back side of my project. I cut the flower on bead board that has the wide spacing of grooves. (approx 12″ apart) It…

3 Sisters Snack Shack / Lemonade Stand
I don’t believe in just handing my children money I like to make them earn the things they want in life. My daughter came to me at the beginning of the summer wanting to earn money for her cheerleading outfit and had the idea of a lemonade stand. Every child loves to do a lemonade stand right? So what happens when the children have an overboard craft-a-holic mother and an over ambitious father? This is what my 3 daughters got — The perfect Lemonade stand. ALthough my crafty side is still wanting to add more and paint it – you know just the overboard stuff that does’nt really matter to…

Wooden Blocks with Sayings for any occasion
I made up a bunch of wood blocks for my mom’s Quilt guilt summer social. These can be made for any occasion in any size and you can use any lettering! My mom picked out 3 colors that would coordinate with her table decorations and I painted them the colors she chose. We used a 2×4 cut into different lengths. I believe our lengths were 6″, 5″ and 4″ So the blocks can stack ontop of one another. Paint them, sand the edges, antique them with light brown stain and add whatever sayings you want to. For these blocks since they were for her Quilt Guilt we used the words,…

Star Paper Garland
In Utah the stars and stripes don’t go away after we celebrate the 4th of July. We prepare and get geared up for another holiday this month! The 24th of July is Pioneer day in Utah. Utah uses the 24th as a day to honor the Pioneers that made their trek out west here to Utah. The celebration is much like the 4th of July but in some towns even bigger. Firework displays, parades, Barbeques continue all month in our state. I made this cute Star garland out of paper on my sewing machine. I cut out 3 different sizes of stars on my cricut using red and blue cardstock.…
