Bow & Arrow for kids! Inspired by Hunger games
Two of my daughters have really been into the Hunger Games books & movie. I read the books a few years ago and kept trying to get my teenagers to read the books. Finally my son jumped on board then my daughters. When the movie released Myself, my hubby and my kids were all front and center at the movie! Now I know some parents disapprove of the books / movie but each to their own and I think it is no worse then what the have seen and learned in school regarding the holocaust, wars, Gladiators etc. They also know it is fiction.. So, with that being said on…

Beadboard accent frame
I have had a picture of the Bountiful Temple hanging above my fireplace for some time now. It was a picture that a good friend of mine did for me and gave me for Christmas a few years ago after I had gone through the temple. I have been wanting to add some color to my living room so I decided to somehow accent this picture with color. I took a piece of beadboard and cut it 4′ wide by 3′ tall. Then had my husband add a small frame around the exterior of it. Once this was completed I went to town on painting it. Then once dry I…

Wooden Stamped Easter Eggs
I had some left over stands that I had made to use with some wooden hearts in February for Valentines so, I took them and painted them a bright green. I then cut out some wood in the shape of eggs and drilled a hole in the bottom of them for a dowel to go into. I painted them a solid color then used white paint and a flower stamp for the yellow egg and purple polk a dots with mod podge and glitter for the blue egg. Once dry I added some Tulle and called it good! Quite festive and cute on an end table don’t you think?

Get your peeps on – wood plaque
Although peeps are on my list of gag candy to eat I sure do think those fluffy little marshmallow guys are cute. Although I have used a peep like for a marshmallow when making a S’more and it was tasty! But to eat them plain it is all I can do to choke one down. However when you put those little guys into a craft they suddenly become a favorite of mine! I took a 12×12 inch pine board and painted it yellow While it was drying I took a peeps svg file that my friend emailed me and cut 12 peeps out of vinyl on my cricut. I stacked them upside down from…

Sometimes it’s just too hard to contain my craftiness inside of my home therefore it spills out my front door.. onto my door and of course onto the cement SO, it ends up looking like this! I had the bunny made for me by an excellent crafter Wendy at Make & Take isn’t it the cutest bunny ever??? She does craft classes twice a month at her home! The carrot on my front door I made myself out of beadboard, a little paint, glitter & ribbon for a bright carrot! If you remember from last year I made the garland above my front door you can see it here . The cute pink pillow covers I got from GiGi’s…

Love is in the air and I have found a cute way to express your love to one another! I told my girlfriend the idea I had seen somewhere in blogland using tin mailboxes to create a way to deliver valentines to my children and giggling as I told her my idea she went to her “craft stash” and pulled out the exact tin mailboxes I was looking for! She had found them last year at Target for $1.00 a piece in their dollar section. I went by Target the other day and they have them again! So ladies if you want to track down these mailboxes head to Target!…

Valentines foam heart garland
Do you ever wonder what on earth you can do with foam cut outs besides sprinkle them onto a table or make a mod podged glued together craft with your kids? Well Since I love banners and garlands I decided to run a bag of foam hearts through the sewing machine one after another and look what I came up with! It is really really easy and took me less than five minutes. You can pick up a whole package of these for a dollar at the dollar store. You can wrap the garland around your banister or drape it from your windows. There is a lot you can do…

Valentine Burlap glittered heart banner
This inspiration came from Etsy via pinterest. First I took some regular burlap and cut it into triangles. I free handed the triangles as I wanted them to look a little rustic (this is burlap right??) Depending on how big you want your garland is how big you will cut your triangles. I did mine 4.5″ at their widest point. Once the triangles were cut and pressed I jumped onto my cricut and cut a heart template out of cardboard I then set my template centered onto the triangle burlap piece. (before you begin to paint make sure there is something underneath your burlap as the paint seeps through) Then I…

A Reindeer and a sleigh
I love it when your friend pins things on pinterest and puts in their notes “For Avry to make” I have to admit it is hilarious yet motivating to create when something has been pinned. This next project started out small then snowballed into something huge and much more time consuming then I ever imagined. To my sisters, sisters in law, mother, mother in law etc. If you leave me a comment on this post I will make sure one of these will be yours! (Krystal you are a soul sister) haha! So where did this inspiration come from?? (besides pinterest & Krystal) a little blog called Craft Goodies …
