Holiday Home Décor Week “sELFie Block”
Holiday Home Décor Week “sELFie Block” A few weeks ago I was shopping and saw a pillow, It had a little elf hat and said sELFie on it. After I got home, the idea stuck with me. I got online to try and find this cute pillow again. I search all over the internet and nothing really turned up. I decided to create my own version of the Christmas sELFie! To make the sELFie block , I used images found on the silhouette site. I cut and layered vinyl on a block of wood that was painted cream. This was a simple 10 minute project.

Even more than decorating, I love to create and make my own Christmas home décor. There is something about having that personalized or unique one of a kind decoration in my home. I also love the feeling of accomplishment, and proudly getting to say I made it! I used some leftover pallet scraps to make these Rustic December 25th Boards. Clear vinyl shaker hair bows with video tutorial
Clear Vinyl Shaker Hairbows with video tutorial I decided to re-create these hair bows. I remember having a similar hair bow when I was a young girl. I made a trial one to see how it would turn out. My 6 year old daughter fell in love with it. She wore the hair bow to school the next day. The response was crazy. We had all the office ladies checking it out and lots of little girlfriends wanting them. I am going to make a bunch for my daughter, to give as Christmas gifts to her friends and cousins. These could also make a great stocking stuffers. Each bow only takes…

DIY Marble Racer Tutorial and Free Template
DIY Marble Racer Tutorial and free template My son was given an assignment at school to make 24 items to sell at there upcoming economics fair. I have been giving a lot of thought on unique handmade gift items. I noticed there are tons of ideas for handmade gifts for girls. It has been hard to find something to make for boys. We saw a similar idea of a wooden marble racing track online. When we click on the link it was dead. We searched all over the web for instructions or other information on these marble racers. The only luck we found was they are popular in Norway. My…

This year we are sticking to the actual “brew” theme and will have a LOT of different “brews” for our witch guests to taste! Along with all the drinks we will be mixing up each witch will need their own drinking goblet! So, upon arrival our lovely guests will get one of these: The goblets were purchased at K-mart on clearance for like .25 cents a piece! (dirt cheap) then Krystal got creative and came up with some fun sayings to adorn the goblets with! We sat one evening and put…

Authentic Americana Block
Authentic Americana Block What’s more American than blue jeans? This next little project has the look and feel of a denim blue jean! I took a 2×4 block and painted it blue… then sanded the edges to give it a more rustic look. Then one night while sitting at Krystal’s we found this cute little design on Google images which led us to this Dribbble site. Of course Krystal worked her magic and came up with a version we could use on the blocks. This baby looks so cute up on my mantle!
