Christmas gift for your kids friends with free printable
Christmas gift for your kids friends with free printable My kids are at the age, where they want to give all their friends something for Christmas. I think it is so sweet that they are in the giving spirit. With so many little friends at school and around the neighborhood, this can get expensive. We put on our thinking caps and came up with this simple small inexpensive gift. This way they can give a little something, to those many fun little friends. You can purchase packs of 3 pop rocks at the dollar store. We broke apart the 3 packs and stapled some ribbon and a tag on a…

The staff that the clinic are amazing. What 9 year old would actually like going to get weekly shots? Well mine does! I know it is because of the awesome nurses and ladies who work there. They call my son the office boyfriend! Anytime we find a reason to do something for these ladies, we are on it. For Christmas, I made them each a count down board. I saw the cute saying on a count…

Timber Wood Candy Cane
Six or seven months ago I attended a fundraiser auction and saw a large wooden candy cane that I absolutely fell in love with. The Candy Cane was donated and sold in the Auction for around $100.00 I couldn’t afford that but wanted to recreate one so I tried to figure out who made it but no one knew who donated it. So, I came home and jumped on Pinterest and couldn’t find anything like it! I was becoming frustrated and let it go for a little while but as Christmas grew nearer. I (of course) roped my husband in and picked his brain on how to accomplish this task.…

Vintage Christmas signs
Vintage Christmas signs Yes, I still am on a vintage kick Here are a few more Vintage inspired Christmas signs. The candy cane sign was a miniature doll house sign I found It on Pinterest I wanted to re-create it. I painted a Board cream, Then I used a reverse stencil technique. I cut my stencil using my silhouette machine on contact paper and put it on the board. I painted over the board and stencil in red paint. I let it dry, then peeled off the stencil. Last I gave the board a light sanding, to give it an aged look. The next sign was found here Avry’s…

Old Fashioned car Decor Board
Old Fashioned Car Décor Board I love the movie A Christmas story, it is one of our family traditions to watch this show every year. Usually when you talk about this movie, the leg lamp always comes to mind first. For this project. I was inspired by the old fashioned car, and the family going to hunt for their Christmas tree. First I found a scrap board at my house. I did a crackle paint technique on the board. To do the crackle technique: Paint you board a darker base color first, something that will show through your 2nd color. I choose a dark brown for my base color. Let…

Vintage Christmas Week “Vintage Count Down Chalkboards” Women’s Shelter project Back in October, My sister had a lady contact her from our local women’s shelter. She asked if we could make and donate a craft, that could be sold to raise money for the women’s shelter. We accepted the challenge, and then the hunt for the perfect craft began. We found the idea on this Etsy shop. The shelter asked us to donate between 15-20 of our item. We knew that we had to find a way to make them without a lot of cost on our end. My brother installs hardwood floors, we asked him to save any scraps or leftover’s,…

Vintage inspired vinyl decal platters
“ During the after Christmas sales last year. I picked up some of these giant platters at 90 percent off. I pulled them out about a month ago and have been waiting for some inspiration, on what to do with them. I have been on this White and red tone vintage vibe this year. So, with the platters being a see through red, I thought they fit right along with my red and white vibe. I cut some vinyl using my silhouette machine, and simply applied them to the platters. This was a quick ten minute craft with a little touch of vintage inspiration.

Vintage Christmas Series “Vintage Nativity Makeover”
Vintage Christmas Series “Vintage Manger Makeover” I found this Nativity set at a yard sale this summer, it cost a whole $2. But, lets be honest it needed some help! At $2 it was a steal. So, I snatched it up and brought it home. I have been loving the “fancy” vintage feel. I decided just to spray paint this whole set a simple white. Around 8 coats later, it was time for a little sparkle. You know how I love my glitter. I sprayed each piece and then coated them in glitter. For a few dollars in cheap spray paint and some glitter, I was able to turn this…
