Advice from a Pumpkin Home Decor Wood Sign
Our friend Liz showed us this darling saying about advice from a pumpkin and she was just dying to make it! I have no idea where she saw it from for us to give credit but we were able to see a picture. Off to the Pallet yard Krystal and I went to find free wood (yet not necessarily pallet wood). We were lucky enough to find this insanely large piece of pine at the pallet yard for free! Take a look at this photo to see how large it is before cutting it! Imagine two women trying to get this home and then cutting it themselves on the table…

Halloween Directions yard sign
I have been seeing all of these Halloween subway art signs, some of them had Halloween type places listed on them. After looking at some of these fun Halloween signs, I got thinking that it would be fun to create some kind of street post with arrows and directions. Step 1: I dug though my wood collection and found these pallet boards that I had already cut for a project that I decided not to make. The boards are 4″ tall by 15″ long Step 2: Paint you boards black or color of your choice Step 3: I used my personal cutting machine to design the wording and arrows on…

Embossed Tin Pumpkins
When people know you are a crafter they are always happy to add to your craft hoard. I often have family, friends or neighbors who will call me before hauling away a load to the 2nd hand store. Almost all of the time I am happy to sort through what could be free treasure! Sometimes people give me items that I have no clue what I will do with them. Recently Avrys x-sister in law gave her a bag full of cut apart soda cans??? Ummm ok??? They have been sitting in a sack here in my craft room, I have been tempted to throw them away. During one of…

Have you looked at this fabulous adult party kit the BHG is offering? It is amazing!!! Avry and I will be hosting our 5th annual Halloween party this year. It can’t believe it that this is our 5th year hosting. I have been scouring the internet and pinterest for some fresh ideas. Black and Gold Halloween Banner
Let me admit I am in love with gold! there I said it. I never thought in a million years I would be wearing gold jewelry and decorating my house with gold accents. Heck! my wedding ring isn’t even gold, up until a year ago I would have gagged if you gave me anything gold! Now, here I am a year later decorating and incorporating gold into every craft I make! I am really digging the black and gold for Halloween this year, I think it brings a really classy effect to Halloween decorations. I decided to whip up a classy Halloween banner. Come What May and Love it Trendy Wood sign
Seeing these rustic wood trimmed signs all over the place just makes me really excited. Along with one of my favorite phrases Come What May and love it! One of the things I love about the rustic trend that is happening is not everything has to be or look perfect. The weathered wood over run paint and even texture gives these projects so much character. It is also a crafter’s dream to have a little paint run or not have it come out perfect and to be able to say oh I made it that way on purpose (wink wink)! Let’s give one of these wood trimmed signs a…

I can never have to many decorations. I know wooden word blocks have been around forever. These really aren’t new, I decided to add one more element to my wooden word blocks to make them amazing! I started with wooden blocks that measure 3 1/2 ” x 3 1/2″ I painted them with my amazing wood glaze for the first coat. While they were drying I used my personal cutting machine to cut out the words…

Giant Chalkboard from a Coffee table
A few weeks ago, I posted about the tall entry table I made using two different coffee tables. After I had completed that project, I still had the top of the coffee table that I used the legs from. My husband was ready to take it to the landfill but I kept looking at it and thinking to myself that there must be something I can do with just the table top. The table top was flat and had a really nice trim that curved upwards like a giant frame. I noticed that the decorative piece on the bottom of the table top was only screwed in a few places. So, I decided…

You are the Pineapple of my eye
Not sure why but I’ve been drawn to the Pineapple crafts lately. They scream “Summer” with their bright colors of Yellow! So, I created my own Pineapple craft. I made this simple enough so even a beginner could follow my instructions and create their own. I started out with a 12″x 12″ plywood board and painted it a lime green. I decided on the 12″x 12″ size because it would match the cricut mat size to make it easier for sizing purposes. Next I found a pineapple on Google images that I liked and imported it into the Cricut design space. I love that Design space allows almost any type…
