Vintage Santa Board
Isn’t this vintage Santa darling? I saw him on a Facebook shop page called Pixxie Stixx. So creative! I did a little Google search out found out that the image was a free design. I decided make my own little vintage Santa. I like a lot of bling on my projects, my version has a little more bling on it. First I painted a wood block cream. Next I cut the Santa image out of a deep red vinyl using my own personal cutting machine. I applied the vinyl to the board and then embellished the top of the board with ribbons. This was such a quick and simple craft…

Christmas Tree Farm sign
I have seen a ton of fun Christmas tree farm or lot signs floating all over the web. I knew making one of these was at the top of my projects list this year. A tree farm sign would fit perfect with all of my other vintage Christmas decorations. The only problems was picking a design to make. There were so many different variation’s of tree farm signs. I finally settled on three different signs, I couldn’t just chose one. I ended up making my own variation of all three signs! I simply love how it turned out. I had a few extra precut bracket boards left over from…

Giant Burlap Stocking
I am still in love with burlap. Everything is my home is rustic, burlap and gold. I know it sounds like and odd combination, somehow it is working for me at least. I saw a few ideas for giant stockings on pinterest, I loved the idea of a giant stocking hanging on my door. However all of the ideas I found were to cutesy for my décor taste. I decided to take the idea and make it to fit my own decorating style. I decided to use burlap as the base of my giant stocking. I hand drew myself a large pattern out of paper. I pinned my pattern to…

Checked Twice wooden sign
I am still loving the vintage Christmas designs. I was really into them last year and nothing has changed. One of my favorite blogs right now is Fynes designs. She has very classic taste and I have been loving all of her vintage design ideas. The idea for this Checked twice board came from her Personalized Santa sacks. I wasn’t wanting to make the sacks but fell in love with her design on the sacks. She is offering a free download on the design. I downloaded the design and then decided to only use part of the design. I painted a wooden board that measures 9″ by 5″ a cream…

Vintage Sled
As I was surfing the pinterest wave this weekend I happened upon fynes designs and her amazing vintage sled. I have always wanted a vintage sled and I have hunted for years but just like fynes designs said if you want to pay $100-$300 you can have one. Seeing how that doesn’t quite fit in my budget I wanted to have one without the price tag that was attached. I was amazed at how easy her tutorial was to make your own and for only $10. I had already capped off my Christmas projects list because I have so many things that I want to make but how could I pass…

My heart has pined after this gratitude sign for a few years! I just can’t pony up the $89 for it!!! You all know I am cheap skate! On my quest to create more fall and Thanksgiving décor for my home, I knew this sign was the perfect element that I was missing. I went out to the wood pile and found a few scraps of bead board. I sanded the bead board to give it a rustic look and then added some of my famous glaze to completed that rustic look. Next I set up a template with the wording on my computer. I cut the wording in teal…
