A bushel and a peck framed art

I love you a bushel and a Peck

I loved my grandma Nielson she was the best grandma a girl could ask for. She loved her grandkids – I saw my sister Jeralee pin this quote on pinterest over a year ago and she said how it reminded her of Grandma. My heart melted when I read it because my cute little grandma used to sing this.. a lot especially if you were small enough to be lifted on her lap. She would bounce you on her knee and sing this. As I got older she would hug and kiss my forehead and sometimes sing it to me. Oh the memories of sweet grandma.

One afternoon my mother and I were shopping at a local store Rod Works and saw this phrase in a HUGE frame. The price tag was HUGE too but we both fell in love – I told my mom I could create a smaller version of the same thing. She then asked me to make 7 of these. One for each of my siblings and one for herself for Christmas – I rounded up matching frames at a garage sale for $.50 each. Vinyl and scrapbook paper can make a frame look amazing!

My mother picked out an assortment of colors for the backgrounds and set one aside for each of my siblings. I picked the red one! I love it now that it is getting closer to valentines because it fits right in.

Bushel and a peck

To my Grandma and all the memories of Peppermint gum in her purse, Apricot picking, Huckleberry picking, sewing, Sleep-overs, quilts, prom dresses, dolls, handmade stuffed animals and endless singing. I love you!
